Match Preview

This week's game is as big as any other we have played this season - a break from the league sees us back to county cup action against Bishop Auckland.

Forget the last game - if we go into it thinking it will be another walkover we will be in for a shock - we know that no 2 games are the same and the squad will be different, we need to be prepared for whichever team turns up.

It has been said all through the season that when we made the decision to move to the candy league there were some doubting it was the right decision - we have proved that it was, what it has also done has made us a better squad and it is from that I truly feel we have the best chance we have ever had of going all the way and winning the 3rd team county cup, something our great club has never done. Match that with still fighting for the league and I for 1 couldn't be prouder.

We have had some big decisions to make this week, so far we have been able to agree with other teams to have extra players - with this being the cup we haven't had that opportunity and we are limited to 22.

It is testament to everyone how difficult the decisions have been but those who are selected owe it to those missing out to do the business on the pitch and celebrate after.

We will also be holding a raffle after the game so please bring cash - proceeds will be going to our opponents flood fund.
