Match Preview

After the disappointment of week 1 last week saw the real 3TM turn up to perform and what a performance it was - straight from the ko we took the game to Middlesbrough and with Lee Simpson scoring twice within the first 5 minutes there was no looking back as there was a continuous stream of scores. More importantly than the score was the way we played - there was confidence and we moved the ball with purpose - there was a belief across every member of the squad and most importantly there was chat meaning we were playing as a team. with Carl Robinson rounding the day off with a perfect 10 from 10 off the tee it just shows the difference a week makes.

Moving on to this week and another big challenge is ahead of us in the form of Acklam Talbots, they are no strangers to us as we have played in the past, most recently last season where we filled in one of our numerous opposition cry offs. In that game Acklam came out on top with us being shell shocked in the 1st 20 minutes by the physicality of the higher league opponents however we came back into the game and were unlucky to be beaten by the single score - this weekend, after playing the 2 league games we will be prepared for that physicality and the lads will be more than up to the challenge.

We are without a few of those players from the weekend, including Carl and his golden boot but the lads who come in their place will be out to make a point and prove their place.

Win this one and we prove our decision to move up to the Candy league was the right one.
