As our second league game of the season approaches, we reflect on what happened last weekend? To put it simple, 3TM didn’t seem to be up for the fight against a strong Stockton outfit, we chose to move up into this league to compete with better stronger more drilled sides. Well that was not the case last week. Stockton played well, but they weren’t world beaters, it was 3TM who lost that game not Stockton who won it. Yes the scoreline may say otherwise however we know what we as a team are capable of and that certainly wasn’t it. Our defence was poor, we had no attacking threat and because of this we let Stockton walk through us all game. I don’t think Stockton got out of 3rd gear. This isn’t the 3TM we all know and love and this isn’t the 3TM we want fans to be watching this season. Last week is a learning curve for us and next week we move on and show fans entertaining attacking rugby that 3TM are absolutely capable of playing. So we move on. This week we face a familiar foe in Middlesbrough A at Home, they have chosen to move up into Candy League B from the social league just like we have. They will be up for this game as always. Last week Middlesbrough lost to West Hartlepool Stags 44-14 and I’m sure they won’t be happy with that result, so don’t be expecting an easy game this weekend as they’ll be wanting to bounce back against us and get the first win of the season. We need to make sure that doesn’t happen, if we are to have a successful season we need to make sure our home form is formidable. We to want to get our season back on track and that starts Saturday. Last season Middlesbrough played some good rugby, in the first fixture they comfortable beat us. The return fixture was a closer affair and saw 3TM just fall short. Can we bounce back this week and get the first win of the season? Get down to the club to watch and find out. 3.3.3TM. #osios
