Of the highlights from this season so far, a personal one for me is the friendship and respect we have gained with Sedgefield, we have loaned them players when not playing ourselves, re arranged fixtures to suit both clubs, enjoyed some good rugby and most importantly, they have not cried off the games. That being said, there is another game to be played and one we are going there to win. After the frustrations and ridiculous cry off from West 2 hours before ko it was great to see a number of the lads turn up and play touch, it just shows how much we just want to get out on the cabbage patch.
So to Saturday and we know what to expect, Sedgefield will be out to disrupt our slick play with quick and strong defence to try and put us on the back foot, it will be down to us to make sure they are chasing for the full 80 minutes.
Sad news about skipper and his broken foot meaning a solid part of the front row will be missing, this gives young Harvey another chance to step into senior rugby and add to his already impressive performances.
The return of old faces also continues with Danny Sayers keen to finally get the green and white back on and even a rare appearance due from the scarlett pimpernel Garry Churlish all meaning selection headaches.
A great win would set us up for a night back at the club in our best Christmas jumpers.
Whats the alternative? Shopping? I know where I would rather be.
