This weekend we entertain top side Otley.
Prior to the league starting I think many people would have chose Otley to finish in top spot. At present they are living up to their reputation. Having kept a number of their core squad, adding Callum Irvine from DMP has made them a force to be reckoned. Many would and still are questioning their relegation into North Premier.
So far Otley are 4 in 4 scoring 193 points (averaging 48 points per game) conceding only 46!! They are clearly the form team.
Billingham are themselves in a strong position sitting just behind Otley in 2nd place. Some may argue Billingham have had an easier start... others would say is there an easy game in the North Premier.
Following an inconsistent September with player availabilities, injuries etc... head coach Peter Evans will be hopeful that, in what is a tough month that he will have a consistent bunch of players to select from.
Following on from last weeks victory over Cheshire side Northwich there will late fitness tests on John Padley and Adam Gardner. Billingham are still without those with long term injuries: Luke Wilson, Joe Evans, Dom McAlorum and the unavailability of Adam Sunley.
One thing that will be crucial in the game is....the crowd support. Theres no doubt that this will be a difficult game. We need to play our game, show we can compete against the so called 'big' sides....
We have the talent, we have the ability and we have the desire.
We go again!!
