On Sunday the Billingham Hurricanes travelled to Stockton for the local derby.

The boys all were desperate to win the game for bragging rights and to bounce back from a disappointing performance against Gateshead last time out.

The first quarter of the game was scrappy as we struggled to get the ball, but after a few phases of tackling, we cleared out the ruck and scored an excellent try through the backs to go into the first break 1-0 up.

The next 3 quarters we dominated proceedings, with some nice work through the hands and good lines to score try after try.

In the end it was a very comfortable game and I had the score as 17 tries to 3.

Special mention to Colby who picked up Man of the Match. He put in 110%, was brilliant in the breakdown, and thoroughly deserved the award. Well done, Colby!

Overall, it was a very good display and was very sweet to win over our rivals, well done to all the boys, onto the next one!
