This evening we catch up with ‘Scabs’ following his first season. He has grown as a person and a player who will be looking to hit the ground running (fast!)

Since the end of the season what have you been getting up to? A bit of sevens?

A few 7s tournaments with the Krusadas playing against some high quality players and teams and preparing for the upcoming season

So first season completed. A season of growth, learning and opportunities. How would you describe the first year?

Challenging but very enjoyable

Since you have been here, you have just got better and better. How was Billingham helped you improve?

Training and playing with high level players has helped me improve physically and mentally when it comes to rugby

Anyone particular that has helped you develop the most?

Everyone has given me pieces of advice here and there so I can’t really pinpoint just one person

Any personal highlights for last season?

My try against Lymm or the win at home against Wharfedale

What are you expecting for the season coming up?

Same as last season really, tough games against tough opposition

Who are you looking forward to play against this season?

Tynedale

Anyone standing out in pre season so far?

Everyone’s working extremely hard from the older lads to the colts
