I don't normally do this, because I am sure everyone one of us has or has had a family member or friend who has suffered with some form of cancer, and therefore charities are very personal to each of us.
Don't worry, this is not me asking for a donation (unless you want to of course), but I have seen how awareness and understanding can be a great aid in curing cancer in general.
My wife and your Treasurer, Jill, was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer late last year. Blood cancers in the main, and in Jill's case are incurable today, and Blood Cancer UK is just one cancer charity researching for a cure. In a few weeks, Josh, Becky and her partner Cam, are running the Great North Run and Jess who is not a runner is walking 2025kms during 2025, "if my mum can live with cancer every day, I can get up and go for a walk every day."
My only ask is take time to read their story and read a little about Blood Cancer, it's rare, it's not easy to diagnose but awareness is part of prevention.
Oh and if you decide to donate anything, thank you in advance.
Mark
