Billingham V West
All the lads had an early start this morning with Mr Simpson requesting that everyone is to be a the club for 09:15 – Majority of the team turned up on time and in their pyjamas…!
Full 20 players were all ready (well apart from Jenna who was only 1.5 hrs late Ha) for a bit of a training session to practice some passing and moves before the big game. It was good to see some players back from injury and ready to go.

Training time was over and it was time for the main event…West at home!

Bit of team talk first then came the shouts of 123 Billingham…123 Billingham
Ref blows his whistle for the game to begin and first scrum goes to the opposition but we soon get this back and straight away we see some excellent passing from all the team. This great passing leads to a pass going out to Cambo who took it over the try line….1-0 Billingham.
Opposition gets the ball again but we quickly get this back from a crunching double tackle from Fyn and Harry. This tackle gets the supporters on their feet shouting for more. First 10 Minutes looking awesome with Billingham having most of the ball with some great tackling especially from Dylan, Reece ,Joel & Harry. Just as its coming close to half time they have us pinned on our line but our defence is looking good. All of a sudden they get the ball and the score. 1-1 .
The Referee then blows his whistle for half time – Referee has had an excellent first half and we hoped it would continue into the 2nd half.

Second half starts and this we time West coach takes the whistle and referees (??????) the rest of the game.
With a lot of decisions going the wrong way the boys/girl are starting to feel this maybe not there day. Bailey gets the ball and passes this to Debbie who passes to Harvey who goes on a run and seems to be growling as he runs at the opposition (Love it). All of a sudden they get the ball and score 1-2. Kicks off again and we have a scrum. They get the ball off us from a suspicious decision and run to score another try. 1-3. We get the ball again and get slightly pinned back in our half and the Harry does a great kick which goes well back into their half hitting a satellite on its way down!! They get the ball again and with a few tackles missed by us they got through again and scored. 1-4.
Play starts again and we get a scrum but unfortunately we lose out again with another decision going to the other team. At this point my phone went dead and the other “Excellent” Reporter Rob had to step in. Whilst we were discussing this matter West break again and scored 1-5.
Billingham get the ball straight away and pass out to Dylan who gets pushed out. Joel gets the ball and then gets tackled round the neck – Billingham Scrum and we are looking better. All of a sudden a flash of great play from the team and Harry gets the ball and runs all the way to score a try 2-5.

I am going to leave it there as it’s fair to say that everyone was unhappy with some of the decisions in the 2nd half.

Our lads/Girl all played excellent again and every weekend this lot give it 110% and it shines every time. We have a great team with a great bunch of coaches/supporters behind them.

We can only get stronger over the next few weeks so only one thing to say to our next opponents "WATCH OUT"
