I caught up with head coach Peter Evans 'Glad to get the first game under the belt. A lot of frustrations around on Saturday. Not at the peak of our powers, evident the lack of game time played it part.
Fortunately for us it’s job done, we can move on and learn massively from the game.
This week will be another tough game against an always strong sandal team. Last season we managed to do the double and out recent record shows very close games. We have a few bodies back and things might change. I think this season more than ever you will see the squad change. We have the ability to do this now and still have players to bring back into the squad.
We know what to expect come Saturday and it needs to be an improvement to get the result. Training has been very specific around areas to target and improve.
Great to have the lions and 3TM back playing, it’s a long pre season and the senior section is in a great place for the season ahead.'
