Winners for the first time in 133 years

Another season over and what a dramatic one it has been, some say we flirted with relegation I would say we heavy petting in the back row of the cinema, but 2 games can make all the difference to the memories and feeling of a season. Thursday evening I watched a team that had struggled for confidence most of the season put together one of the best performances I have seen from this group of players. The contact area was key to winning this game as Westoe had bullied us twice already this season and the the tackles were on the front foot and bone crunchers from the off. It is always nice to see a group achieve a performance that they deserve, hardwork and commitment these players have but they are also blessed with ability, and for all who attended from the club on Thursday night we got our glimpse of what we truly can achieve.

So onto the next we are, and what should we remember, we are stronger as a group than individuals, size isn't everything and the size of the man does not indicate the size of his heart and desire. Pre season is next and it is a big one, it is time to give this league a proper glimpse of how we can perform and what Billingham Rugby club means to us all.

Enjoy your short rest!
