Match Preview

Since the 1st day of the season this is the game we have built towards. That 1st game of the season was a shock to the system and it was a wake-up call for what we were to expect. However since then wake up is exactly what we have done. We have built as a squad and now work for each other around the park. We have had a game built on the strongest defence I have ever seen from the 3TM. We have learned from the mistakes in that game of making too many replacements at the wrong time, we have added flair and power to the attack, we talk and we have a never say die attitude.
That is what has kept us unbeaten since that 1st game and that is what will take us into Saturday full of confidence.
So what are we going to expect from the opposition - we know they will still be favourites going into the game, we know they are very well drilled as any 2nd team who train together should be. They will look for the weakness in our defence and try to exploit it just as they did in the 1st game by shipping the ball quickly out wide however like I have said we have grown and when they don't find that weakness can become frustrated.
We need to make sure the basics are right, we close their space, we make the tackles, we compete at the right time at the breakdown, we keep the discipline and don't give away easy ground.
When we come off the pitch what I ask is that we can look at each other and say we have given our all, If we can do that, win lose or draw we can be proud of what we have done and we can move on,

While writing this I hear that 2 of our stalwart players Phil and Chris Surtees have just lost their Mum, I am sure you will all join me in sending our deepest sympathies to the brothers.
