Match Preview

The league is in the bag, preparations are being made for bus trips and end of season dinners etc. Almost time to rest the aching bodies (for a couple of weeks at least). But before we get to that we have the little matter of Stockton this weekend, I once remember an interview where the manager (can't remember who it was) was asked the question so what is the most important game this season, the reply was the answer changes every match but always stays the same because the next game is always the most important. That is how we need to look at things, the next game is our biggest, and to be fair we don't get much bigger than our closest neighbours. We know historically when we face this opposition that they can be a really big test for us. As always we will play what is in front of us and if we really do want to finish the season unbeaten then we need to be up for this. The weather may also play a big factor in the game so keep an eye out for updates. This week see's a return of Phil Crawford after completing his basic training, proud of you Phil and will be good to see you on the pitch again. The 1st team are at home this week against this seasons league champions Preston Grasshoppers, hoping to show the big boys they can't have this season their own way, good luck to them and bring it home, The 2nds are finally back to league action, away to Gateshead, just what they need to tune up ready for next weeks county cup final. After the game on Saturday there is a live band at the club so a chance for us to get together in a great atmosphere and have some fun. Sunday see's our colts in the u18 county cup final against Gateshead and is being played at West Hartlepool with a 1pm Kick off, would be great to support the lads, especially as a number of them have played for and supported us this season.
