We are delighted to reveal our new 1st XV Away strip supporting Prostate Cancer UK

Billingham RUFC are delighted to reveal our brand new away strip and with it announce that our official club charity for the next two seasons is Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate cancer is something that is close to the heart for a number of men at Billingham Rugby Club and this season and next we will focus on raising awareness and fundraising to support Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. The odds increase for men over 50. Awareness is key in the strategy to tame prostate cancer.

I was delighted that we were able to announce our support of Prostate Cancer UK (https://prostatecanceruk.org) last night at our first Vets game of the season, where 60 men aged over 35 played in a well contested match with at least 4 of them in the Billingham team alone being over 50. Our raffle raised £155 and this starts the beginning of our find raising for the charity.

We will be launching replicas of these shirts online in a couple of weeks with adults being £50 and Juniors will be less the VAT. We will be able to provide them for £40 if we place an order of 10 or more through the shop, more details to follow. The club will donate 10% of the price of each shirt sold to Prostate Cancer UK.
