A gritty away day win for the 1st team as the 3TM run riot!

As most teams will have wanted, getting 2018 started with a win will have been high on the agenda.

Certainly not pretty but plenty of bottle and heart got us over the line.

Trailing 10-0 at half time to a Morley team that will pick up points, especially at home. After the rustiness of the first half the game was injected with more pace and energy.

The heavy ground and sometimes confusing decisions from the man in the middle made running rugby difficult, but in reflection Morley entered our 22 twice in the 2nd half as we controlled the possession and territory but struggled to get the ball over the line.

We did eventually get some penalties for our efforts to which Dano converted to take the lead and kick the ball out last play.

An improvement will be needed for next week but I am sure the squad will be excited to continue our great season. We have improved massively since our first meeting with Ilkley.

The 3TM continued their fine form scoring over 100 points against Acklam. Still unbeaten and hungry for the title it promises to be a good run in.

The Colts lost at home to Carlisle missing numerous chances along the way coming back to haunt them. Lessons to be learned.

Some big games next week, competition for places is high as we continue to get fantastic numbers at training with players back from injury.
