The first team were prepared for a high level game, this was shown in the first 40 minutes as we flew out of the traps blowing Wirral away with clever running lines and good support play.

Danny Dixon got us off to great start after a couple of minutes, after the first of many Luke Wilson breaks, The only missed conversion off the day followed. Dan Burns, Luke Wilson and Matt Kirby x2 all followed, with great support play evident again. We turned around at half time 33-3 up.

Now we faced the strong wind, Wirral came back hard as expected, we sat back and let the attacks come. The elusive 80 minute performance remains the target moving forward! we extended the lead through Luke again and Peter Evans finished the scoring off. In-between those score Wirral were looking for that bonus point score that didn't come. 47-20

Overall a very satisfying bonus point win, plenty to work on as we move into second in the table level on points with toppers Hull.

We were due to have a full set of games but the lions were let down late Friday evening, probably more disappointing we were due to hand out senior debuts to a host of talented colts. The the 3TM squad already full so it was (another) enforced week off. After West and Westoe let us down.

That 3TM squad traveled to Darlington with a few old and new faces! bringing home an excellent win 14-53 to advance in the county cup. It was looking a tough challenge midweek after a host of unavailability, thank you for those who traveled and brought home a great win.

A last thank you to all the members of the club, the recent home games have seen the crowds grow and grow. Fantastic to see so many minis and juniors with parents on the sidelines. It really makes all the difference to the lads on game-day.
