We Go Again!!

This week we see Billingham take on Rossendale. After being on the road for the last 2 weeks it is a welcome return to Greenwood Road.

Last week’s result against Ilkley was disappointing but it is a reality check that was needed. January was and is a tough month for fixtures. Billingham were under no illusions.

This week’s opponents are Rossendale, sixth in the league and are on a 2 game losing streak following a 36-25 loss to Harrogate and a 10-27 to Sandal.

Billingham know what to do and know how to go about putting it right. The lads are working as hard as ever and will be eager to get the result on home soil.

Billingham lost to Rossendale 26-23 earlier in the season and will be keen to avoid another similar result.

The main thing we need is YOU! The supporters… the 16th man. It could be that dividing factor that could see our lads over the line!

Saturday 19th January at 2:15pm…..

I have caught up with player/head coach Peter Evans ‘ An opportunity to bounce back and it’s a big challenge to get excited for. Last week was just one of those weeks, probably only the second time this season where it didn’t go quite right. We can sit and talk about injuries and we can moan, or we can test the squad depth, give opportunities and see where we are with backs against the wall. Rossendale is a beast of a challenge, not quite the powerhouse they are at home but still a formidable physical opponent. We need to stick to our game plan, we will work on that this week! Again there will be changes to the squad, the ones that remain really need to step up to the plate this week. We have standards and expectations to keep, its time to stand up and be counted.’

We go again!!
