Prop Life!

Tonight before training I have caught up with one of this seasons new signings Linden Dixon. Coming over from Newton Aycliffe he brings a unique skill with him...being a Prop!
He has adapted well to the Billingham life which has also seen him get his first XV debut.

1. How old were you when you started playing rugby?
Started when I was 8

2. What was your first rugby memory?
Doing my first training session and it being cold, wet and muddy so I decided to quit and join back a year later

3. Who was your role model and why?
Don't really have one

4. Can you remember your first training session with Billingham?
First training session was playing touch on the agp, having to borrow some boots that didn't fit correctly and messing my feet up just in time for preseason

5. What do you eat before a big match?
I have a nice big fry up sandwich for breakfast

6. Describe your perfect weekend.
Having a chilled Friday night in, my big fry up sandwich Saturday morning, playing the game of rugby with lots of big hits, followed by a few drinks with the boys afterwards. Sunday starts with another fry up and a day of pretending that I didn't hurt myself too much.

7. What’s been your career highlight?
My career highlight was my final game for uni rugby, playing at Leicester tiger's stadium in front of 4000 students, being 4 points down and managing to get the last try in 6 mins of last play.

8. What one tip would you give a young person looking to succeed
Make sure you commit to the training and always throw everything into the tackles or you'll hurt yourself.

9.What’s the next goal in your rugby career?
Just keep playing until my body doesn't let me

Keep going Linden
