Fried Rice?

This evening I have caught up dynamic 9 Dan Finney. Unfortunately injury followed by surgery on his knee has ruled Danny out for much of the season. Has he been quiet (when can you keep a 9 quiet) NO. Danny has been in the background helping out with training sharing his skills and knowledge around the club.

We are all hoping to see him back in green and white soon!!

1. I was 7 when I started playing

2. My first rugby memory was watching the 2003 World Cup final at the club. The place was packed and it was only 630am, which didn’t stop the beer from flowing. Pretty sure Mr chairman was crying when we won too!

3. My role model was my old campus Pe teacher, Stu Usher. He made training in the cold and dark enjoyable and got loads of lads into the game.

4. My first rugby memory was training on the old first team pitch in the snow and running into pads held by mark Armstrong and papa Finney.

5. On Away days, I tend to get some sort of meal deal that contains an Egg sandwich, just to annoy Elliott. Don’t know why he hates them..
On a home game I usually have a fry up.

6. A chilled Friday night with some sort of takeaway and watching the rugby. Getting a big win on Saturday followed by a few beers with the lads (or the very rare trip to flares). Coaching the u12s to a win on a Sunday, and finishing the weekend off with a Sunday dinner (not as many Yorkshire puds as mad dog)

7. A career highlight would be gaining promotion back to Nat 3 with the 1st XV and playing and getting my cap for the county at twickenham.

8. Enjoy your rugby and make the most of the social side that comes with it, and don’t be afraid to try new things on the pitch.

9. The next goal in my rugby career is to get back to playing as soon as possible, but making sure I’m as fit as possible to challenge for the 9 shirt that has got some serious depth and competition for places these days.
