Billingham appoint Harry-Jon Morgan as our 2018-2019 Apprentice.

I am delighted to announce we have appointed Harry-Jon Morgan as the 2018-2019 Billingham RUFC apprentice. This position is a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship and in conjunction with the RFU will be managed by both them and the club. The role will focus on coaching and club operations including the facilities management of the AGP. As part of this training, our apprentice will learn how to manage the day to day operations of a rugby club as well be developed as a coach and a leader. He will be supervised by Stewart Evan for club operations, Colin Snowdon for coaching and myself for Business administration

We believe that this role is best suited to a more mature apprentice, such as a college or university graduate looking for that first level of hands on experience after academic studies to develop their skills in the job market. Harry-Jon has just completed his BSC in Sports Coaching at Leeds Becket University.

We also believe that Billingham Rugby club provides a perfect environment to develop young men or women and provide them with real world experience as they embark on their careers. We are working with the RFU to ensure that at the end of the training, the apprentice will receive a Level 3 Business Diploma, training at Twickenham from the RFU groundsman, RFU referee badge and a minimum of Level 2 RFU coaching badge.

This role is a fully rounded rugby operations role to develop the next level of leader.
