Aged 16-30?? Register your details as a potential donor and help fight cancer

Team Margot has teamed up with Anthony Nolan, the UK’s blood cancer charity and together they are asking all the clubs in the UK to help them add more people to their lifesaving stem cell register.

They need 16-30 year olds to register and we'd love The Billingham Rugby to help them achieve this by spreading the word to our members and supporters.

Every 20 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia or lymphoma, and may need a stem cell transplant to save their life.

A stem cell register is a list of potential donors whose medical details can be searched to see if they are a tissue type match for a blood cancer patient. The chance of a patient getting a perfect match is only 60% so they urgently need more potential donors to join the register.

If you’re aged between 16-30, please register by clicking here:

Once you've completed the form, you will be sent a saliva kit in the post. Just spit into the tube and send it back (no cost to you). They will let you know once you're on the register and of course, should you prove to be a match.

There are many more things that you could also do to help spread the word. To find out more please contact:
