Final senior game of the season and acoustic guitar players for afters

Calm before the storm? You never know. This is the first season in four where the end of season has not been about promotion or relegation. Our place in National 3 North is secure and in some ways it seems a little flat…but then again…..we have been known to spoil a party before; remember Stockport two season ago?

Well Harrogate come to Greenwood Road this weekend knowing that a win and nothing but a win will is there only chance of promotion. If they win and if results go there way they could clinch the league. In reality, a win will secure them a play off place. A defeat and the its out of their hands and in all honesty Sandal will almost definitely clinch the play off place. Lots of permutations but one that is clear, Harrogate are coming here to win.

Now from a Billingham perspective, we are 12:13 defeats versus wins and –8 points difference. A win by 5 or more points would mean 13 wins out of 26 and a positive points difference. The worst we can finish in the league is 9th and if things go our way we can actually finish 4th!! Either way its been a solid season and one that has shown a lot more maturity than our first season at this level 2 years ago. Add to that we are at home, the sun is expected out and we have everything to play for and no pressure..you can just feel it can't you?? I can!!

Its going to be a busy day and we expect a large contingent from Harrogate. Its the last time this season you can get to see National League rugby at Greenwood Road and the last time to cheer on your team. If you want lunch this weekend then you will need to place your order and pay for it by Wednesday as we expect a high demand. There will be no seated pre-match lunch available for purchase on the day.

No matter which way you look at it, we are currently the 4th highest ranked team in our County, the 7th highest ranked team in the North East and the Number 1 team in Teesside. So lets finish of the season with a day to remember. It's all about the spirit of the game, spending time with friends having a few drinks, a few laughs and to cap it all off a W! After all, its our Spirit that is our Strength.

**** After the Match **** There are Two solo acoustic guitar players performing at 6:30pm. They will Perform two 40-45 minute Sets. These lads names are Adam Hume and Zach Said you can find them on "Snappedstrings" on Youtube or "Zach Said" on Soundcloud.
