Support is needed. Rally round friends and family!!

Saturday 13th August sees Wirral make the trek to Greenwood Road. Both sides will be keen to continue their great starts.

Wirral currently sit in sixth place due to 2 away losses, 3 places below Billingham. Wirral will be tough opposition this week known their track record of being a top 4 team.

We managed to have a quick catch up with player-coach Pete Evans: ‘ It was disappointing not having a game last week, it was a chance for an expanded squad with opportunities to those who has been banging on the door, it was also a chance to see some future stars in action. It wasn’t meant to be, so we had a training morning and a chance to rest after a tough start.

This week sees Wirral come to Greenwood Road and we are under no illusions of the challenge that faces us. They have been a top 4 team for the past 4 or 5 years with only a dip in form last year costing them. They have started very well and put a real score on one of our toughest games so far Sandal. We have had work on’s since our last league game, training was relaxed last week and I just wanted us to loosen up and get the ball moving. It will be ramped up this week considerably for a real tough physical game.
Wirral are a team in form and they will get the respect deserved come Saturday but we are hell bent on getting the season back on track after our only slip up.
It’s a big week all round as both Lions and 3TM have county cup games against Durham City and Darlington, they will be desperate to win as well.’

Kick off against Wirral will be at 2:15pm. Lets get down to support our lads in what will be a highly competitive game!!
