Match Reports

Kendal R.U.F.C.

Disappointing End

Despite the score line Kendal spent most of the second half on the attack, but rarely looked like getting across the line, whilst Ilkley, ruthlessly took their chances, keeping the ball in hand through multiple phases until the gaps opened up for scores.

Late Disappointment

A last minute penalty relegated the team, after twice seeming in control to take it to a final weekend.

Excellent Performance – despite result

Despite probably not being at their best, Blaydon looked like a team chasing immediate promotion, but were made to work hard for every point, and did not give away any of the three Kendal tries.

Wirral RUFC

Wirral Overwhelm Vale of Lune

Wirral put on a dominant display against already relegated Vale of Lune (VoL)

Kirkby Lonsdale Win

Despite loss this was an improved performance by a young Wirral side.

Kendal Defence Holds Out Wirral

A disappointing game for the home side as the Cumbrians take the points they desperately need.

Harrogate RUFC

Harrogate vs Sandal

In a highly competitive game, Harrogate duly ended their season with a tenth successive win.

Harrogate vs Ilkley

After an even first quarter, Harrogate’s superior forward power was the key to them taking control and they were never seriously threatened thereafter.

Lymm vs Harrogate

Despite difficulties in understanding the referee’s interpretation of tackle laws, Harrogate were comfortable winners today.
